For students, especially younger kids, there’s always something special about embarking on an adventure into the unknown and experiencing the world. At DPS Bhopal, we focus on this extensively and make sure each one of the students has a different story to tell. Here are some stories that we would want to tell.
US Trip 2016
DPS Bhopal organized a 12 day long US NASA trip with Inizio Edutech for the students from June 1, 2016 to June 13, 2016, promising a memorable educational excursion. 27 students along with 3 teachers set out on an enlightening journey of exploration and lifetime experience. The trip included visits to New York, Orlando, Boston and Washington DC. It became all the more enriching as it covered places of diverse interests- historical, educational and amusement too.
The chief attraction of the tour was the visit to NASA which is responsible for the civilian space program as well as aernoautics and aerospace research. The students got an opportunity to interact with Dr. Tom Jones, an Ex- Airforce Officer who has been to space 4 times. During the guided tour, the students visited Rocket Garden, saw the Atlantis Shuttle and the historical launcing pads.
Another highlight was the visit to the prestigious Universities of the world, Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. These iconic centers not only inspired students to broaden their horizons to dream but also left them spellbound by their architectural grandeur.
The visit to a compact city on the Potomac River, Washington DC impressed the students by its imposing neoclassical monuments and buildings. The students also enjoyed at National Air and Space Museum of Smithsonian Institution. The White House, The Capitol and The Lincoln Memorial were also on the list.
The exciting, thrilling and action packed days at Disney world and Universal Island of Adventure transported the students into a dream world of magic and make- believe reality. The enormous Statue of liberty, the 102 storey skyscraper the Empire State Building, the commercial Times Square of New York, Broadway and the Madame Taussands wax museum created indelible memories for the young minds. The young travelers bought souvenirs and gifts for their near and dear ones from every possible place.
It was a golden chance for them to explore the scenic beauty, culture, lifestyle, authentic food and value system of an entirely different country.
