SGFI National Level Athletics 400M Hurdles
As the new session unfolds, Dipsites continue to demonstrate exceptional dedication and prowess in their respective fields.

Elated to share that our ace athlete Shrestha Vishwakarma XI-C has secured participation at the SGFI National Level Athletics 400M Hurdles.

Dipsites won accolades at Cadet/Junior State Level Karate Championship. The Medal Winners are:

  • Ayush Mishra IX-A bagged a Silver Medal (Qualified for the Nationals).

Inter-School HMG Cricket Tournament 2024

Showcasing sheer commitment, competency and charismatic performance on the field, the tenacious Cricket Team of Delhi Public School Bhopal emerged as the Champions of the HMG Inter-School Cricket Tournament 2024 defeating DPS Kolar Road by 81 Runs in the thrilling finals on 23 April 2024

The tournament was held at DPS Bhopal Cricket Ground from 15th April to 23rd April 2024 and attracted participation from 12 schools across the Bhopal region. The mega event witnessed a display of exceptional talent and sportsmanship among the participating teams.

The gripping final match between DPS Bhopal and DPS Kolar Road enthralled the audience and kept them at the edge of their seats.

The dynamic cricket team of DPS Bhopal stole the show by bagging 4 Man of the Match awards in the entire tournament, 4 Special individual awards, and the Winning Trophy.

The list of Special Awards is as follows:
  • Best Batsman- Siddharth.S- DPS Bhopal – 330 runs in the tournament.

JSWS (U-15) Badminton Tournament 2024

A Two Day Badminton Tourney

“Sports transcend boundaries of the field, instil discipline, cultivate resilience, and forge friendships that withstand the test of time.”

Delhi Public School Bhopal played a gracious host to the prestigious 1st JSWS (U-15) Badminton Tournament on 16th & 17th January 2024.

The tournament commenced with riveting finals for Team Matches, Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles engaging the teams in a symphony of shuttlecock mastery

The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by accomplished Badminton Players, Vikram Awardees, Mr. Vivek A.M. Tatwawadi and Mrs. Poonam Tatwawadi. In her address, Mrs. Vinita Malik lauded coaches for instilling skills and values.

A dynamic dance performance by students infused energy. In her address, the chief guest, Ms Poonam Tatwawadi passionately emphasized the pivotal role of sports in character development, urging the players to embrace the game as a journey of self-discovery.
The Sports Manager, Mr. Sharad, shared the report of the Opening Ceremony. A heartfelt expression of gratitude from the Sports Virtuoso Head Girl Middle School, Aditi Matta followed, thanking participants, organizers, and attendees.
The tournament’s formal conclusion included the ceremonial descent of the tournament ensign by the Chief Guests symbolizing the transference of responsibility and legacy.
Overall, the tournament was a testament to the hard work and commitment demonstrated by the players. Each smash, each rally and each victory reflects the resilience and determination that define the school community.

Inter-School HMG Cricket Tournament 2023

Delhi Public School Bhopal hosted the1st U-16 Interschool HMG Cricket Cup 2023 in the school premises under the aegies of HMG Centre for Sports Excellence from 15 April- 26 April 2023.
With extreme jubilation, we share that the Cricket Team of DPS Bhopal was the proud Winner of the1st U-16 Inter School HMG Cricket Cup 2023.
Consolidating their positions in the different innings in the league cum knockout basis, the sturdy teams of DPS Bhopal and DPS Kolar Road showcased true sportsmanship in nail- biting finale match played on 26April 2023.

1st JSWS (U-15) Cricket Tournament

The 1st JSWS (U-15) Cricket Tournament culminated in a thrilling finale, showcasing the remarkable resilience and talent of young cricketers. The day commenced with a fiercely contested battle for the third position between DPS Indore and DPS Rau, with DPS Indore emerging victorious in a testament to their skill and determination.
The spotlight then shifted to the much-anticipated final match featuring DPS Bhopal and DPS Kolar, both teams demonstrating exemplary cricketing prowess throughout the tournament. In a closely watched encounter, DPS Kolar emerged as champions, navigating a rollercoaster of emotions marked by brilliant performances and strategic gameplay.
Distinguished guest Mr. Rajeev Saxena, a revered member of the JSWS Sports Committee, added grandeur to the event, emphasizing JSWS’s commitment to promoting sportsmanship and nurturing young talents.
In an eloquent address, Chief Guest Mr. Rajeev Saxena commended the dedication and sportsmanship of the participating teams.
The symbolic lowering of the tournament flag by the Chief Guest marked the official conclusion of the spirited competition. The Sports Manager handed over the flag to Mr. Saxena, who, in turn, transferred it to the Principal, symbolizing the responsibility and legacy passed on.
A gracious Vote of Thanks from the Sports Manager expressed heartfelt gratitude to participants, organizers, and attendees. The tournament reached its formal closure with a resonant rendition of the National Anthem, providing a fitting conclusion to the inaugural JSWS Cricket Cup.

Non Medalist Open Swimming Competition

Under the aegis of Bhopal Swimming Association, a Non Medalist Open Swimming Competition was organised at Sage International School, Bhopal.

The Young Dipsites went an extra mile and bagged a booty of 9 medals.

The ace swimmers of Delhi Public School Bhopal emerged victorious in the 1st JSWS Cup Swimming Competition hosted by DPS Rau and lifted the Cup with a lead of 83 points. The Swimming Team was dexterously mentored by Coach Captain Manoj Kumar Jha and Ms. Neelam Sharma and guarded by coach Mr. Azam Kidwai and Mr. Bharat Lal Yadav.

Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships. U-14 Girls Basketball Team of Delhi Public School, Bhopal emerged as the Winners of The ICONIC CUP organised by The Iconic School.

The Boys Team also exhibited a thrilling show against the opponents and secured Runners Up position.

Rashi Raghuvanshi VIII-H was awarded as the Best Player of the Tournament.

Adding another feather to the victory hat, Abhinav Sharma of Grade IX lifted the trophy for being the Best Goalkeeper of the Inter DPS National Football tournament in the gracious presence of Mrs Dolly Channa, Joint Director of the DPS Society along with other luminaries.

The grandeur of the DPS Football Tournament for Zone 5&7 was inaugurated with an electrifying opening ceremony, followed by a spirited yet informal march past, culminating in the symbolic declaration of the meet’s commencement. The tournament showcased thrilling matches in a league-to-knockout format, brimming with intense competition. As the event progressed, the anticipation heightened, leading to the riveting semifinals and finals. In the end, five exceptional teams earned their place in the national finals, and the grand closing ceremony was a glittering affair, where accolades were bestowed upon the champions and individual performers who had demonstrated exceptional skills and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

DPS Bangalore North and lifting the Runner-up Trophy, qualifying for the Nationals.

The Chief Guest for the Closing Ceremony was Arjuna Awardee, Shri. Yashpal Solanki, High Performance Director, Sports Authority of India.

Khelo MP Youth Games-2023
In the State Level Sub-Junior Karate championship held at Ujjain from 28/10/23 to 30/10/23, Dipsites won a booty of medals and qualified for the National level.
The proverb,” God help those who help themselves”, emphasizing the importance of self-initiative and agency, was aptly epitomised by our ingenious Dipsites as they stamped the winners list with their unwavering commitment and doggedness in Khelo MP Youth Games-2023.

Team DPS proudly acclaims the incredible sporting feats of Pranay Sharma X-G, who clinched the Gold Medal in both the Individual and Team events representing Bhopal Team in Khelo M.P Fencing Championship and Anisha Induria, X-I who added another medal to the school’s medal tally by winning the Bronze medalin Lawn Tennis in Khelo M.P youth Games in the finals of the State Level Tennis Championship.

International Fide Rated Rapid Open Chess Tournament

Aarna choubey of Class VII-A participated In the International Fide Rated Rapid Open Chess Tournament held in Gwalior on 5th & 6th November 2023.

A total of 430 players participated and Aarna was ranked 90th position in the Open Category and in the Under -13 Category, she secured the 2nd position. Team DPS applauds and acclaims the achievements of its young prodigy !

Khelo Chess Inter School Competition 2023

Chess is an intellectual game and teaches students the skills to plan, organise, strategise, pay attention to and remember details, and manage their time and space immaculately. Exemplifying the above skills, the Chess Prodigy of Delhi Public School Bhopal, Aarna Choubey of Class VII- A won a Gold Medal in KHELO CHESS INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION 2023.

SGFI Chess Competition

Ira Sharma IX I a remarkable Chess prodigy from DPS Bhopal has made her mark at the State level of SGFI Chess Competition by securing the 1st Spot and has qualified for the Nationals to be held in November 2023. 

Khelo M.P State Level
Ace Sports Star, Akshara Pateriya of Class- XIA of Delhi Public School Bhopal secured the Second position in SGFI Table-Tennis States in U-19 Girl’s. The list for SGFI Table Tennis Nationals is expected soon and we have every reason to believe that our talented Akshara, has an excellent chance of being shortlisted.

Adding another feather to her glorious success cap, Akshara’s has recently won a gold medal in KHELO M.P. Table-Tennis Division Level and soon, she will represent DPS, Bhopal in KHELO M.P State Level.

10th Lal Parade Open District Badminton Tournament 2023

The stupendous shuttlers of DPS Bhopal brought a booty of medals in the Lal Parade Open District Badminton Tournament held on 18th to 23 November 2023.
  • Aadya Tiwari Class V-F secured the Runner-up Position in U-11 Girls Category.
  • Vivaan Pratap Singh Class VIII-A
  • clinched the Runner-up spot in U-15 Boys Category.
  • Aditi Matta Class VIII-D earned the First Position in U-17 Girls Category.

Aditi Matta VIIID who bagged a Bronze & Vivaan Pratap Singh VIIIA who secured a silver in SGFI Badminton State Under-14 Boys and Girls Category. The talented duo will be representing DPS Bhopal in the upcoming SGFI Badminton U-14 Nationals. 

CBSE West Zone Skating Competition 2023

Abheet Chhajed of class XI-E earned a Gold Medal in the 300Meter time trial race and a welldeserved Silver Medal in the 500Meter race and is now heading for the Nationals.

Vaishnavi Sharma Raman XG secured a Gold Medal in the 300- Meter Time Trial Race.

Abheet Chhajed XI-E also earned a Gold Medal in the 300-Meter Time Trial Race and a well-deserved Silver Medal in the 500-Meter Race.

CBSE Cluster XII Athletics Championship

34 Students of the Athletics Team participated in the CBSE Cluster XII Athletics
Championship held at Rajeev Gandhi Senior Secondary School Bhopal.

Dipsites secured various positions in the U-14, U-17 & U-19 competitions and won 5 Gold, 9 Silver and 8 Bronze, making a tally of 22 Medals. 14 students qualifi ed and 06 students participated in the CBSE National Athletics Meet
held at Varanasi.

The Dipsites secured various positions in the competitions. We are joyous to share that 14 students have been selected for CBSE National Athletics Championship.

has also been selected under the Khelo Indian Scholarship by SAI and Central India and the NCOE Scholarship. She has qualified to be a member of Junior Women National Squad 2023 with AIR-3.
