Art Imitates Life, Life Imitates Art : A Captivating Evening of Cultural Extravaganza@Dps Bhopal
In the benevolent embrace of Kathak virtuosos Ms Nalini and Ms Kamalini Asthana,as the Chief Guests, alongside the esteemed presence of Shri Aditi Kumar Tripathi, Director, Directorate of Culture Govt.of Madhya Pradesh, Joint Secretary M.P Culture Council, Bhopal as the respectable Guest of Honour, the Annual Function at Delhi Public School on 19 December, 2023 unfolded as a sublime tapestry where art mirrored life and life mirrored art. 
IExtending a heartfelt welcome, the Principal, Mrs.Vinita Malik disseminated the school report, elucidating the noteworthy accomplishments and commendable feats attained by the students.
The opulent performance of ‘The Kalyaan That’ under Saptraagam, a fusion masterpiece of diverse ragas, transported the spectators to a realm of unparalleled aesthetic delight in tune with ‘Shiv Stuti Strotam’, eulogising Lord Shiva’s divine attributes.
The tiny tots and the tweeties showcased their creativity in the modern adaptations of the timeless classics, ‘The Thirsty Crow’ and ‘The Selfish Giant’ titled ‘The Verve Unbeaten’ and ‘Amor Vincit Omnia’, enumerating environmental consciousness and transformational power of love. The meritorious Students were lauded and bestowed accolades for their academic brilliance and holistic talents.
The English play ‘Mary Poppins’ further mesmerized the audience with its enchanting narrative and stellar performances.
However, the pinnacle of the evening’s splendor was reached with the Hindi Ballet ‘Prabuddh Bharat,’ a poignant portrayal depicting India’s metamorphosis from the shackles of slavery to the zenith of contemporary scientific prowess with mission Chandrayaan. The performance resonated as a poignant reflection on the journey of our nation, evoking patriotic nostalgia and pride.
The Annual Function at DPS Bhopal, stands not just as a spectacle of artistic brilliance but as a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering holistic development and cultural richness. The event celebrated the fusion of tradition and innovation, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of the discerning audience.


The air of gaiety and festivity engulfed the premises of DPS with the celebration of its Annual Function, Sansriti, One World Many Dreams in a grandiloquent cultural bonanza on 25 November 2022.
The theme of convergence of many dreams into one world was immaculately woven into a kaleidoscopic tapestry with the threads of diligence, determination of the students and staff culminating into a grand spectacle.
The Chief Guests of the event were Shri Rajiv Verma Ji, Fellow Member of Indian Institute of Architects, India and renowned theatre, TV and film personality and his wife, Smt. Rita Verma Ji, educationist, social worker and theatre person.
Ms. Anubha Shrivastava IAS, Commissioner Handlooms and Handicrafts Madhya Pradesh, MD Sant Ravidas MP Hastshilp and Hathhkargha Vikas Nigam, MD MP Khadi and Gramodyog Board and CEO of Matikala Board and Mr. Vikas Kumar Agarwal, Regional Officer, CBSE Bhopal graced the event as the Guests of Honour along with a host of esteemed dignitaries, parents and guests.
The highlighting features of the event were the Achievement Gallery, which showcased the outstanding accomplishments of the dipsites. The sonorous tribute to the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar followed by articulate allocution by the Principal, Mrs. Vinita Malik welcoming the galaxy of luminaries and enumerating the achievements of dipsites through the Annual Report. The series of cultural events enriched with the effervescence of Sufism, Oneric Realism, Dream Per Diem and Namami Devi Narmade were a delightful feast to the audiences. The felicitation ceremony showcasing the academic brilliance of the dipsites was worthy of praises. The honorable orations of the Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour were appreciative, motivational and urged the parents to help their children’s dreams come true.
The sparkling event culminated amidst the encomiums and encores of the audiences.


The 9th Annual Function of Delhi Public School Bhopal ‘Aspire to Inspire’ was organised on 22nd November 2019. The Chief Guest for the mega event was Dr. Vijaylakshmi Sadho, Honorable Minister of Culture, Medical Education and Ayush, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh and Pt. Kiran Deshpande, a renowned International Tabla Player graced the event as the Guest of Honour. Shri Hari Mohan Guptaji, Chairman, Jagran Social Welfare Society , Bhopal, Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University Bhopal & Pro Vice Chairman, Delhi Public School Bhopal-Indore-Kolar Road-Rau and Shri Abhishek Mohan Guptaji, Pro Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, Joint Secretary, Jagran Social Welfare Society motivated the students with their presence along with other esteemed guests. Principal Mrs. Vinita Malik extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and parents and read out the school report enumerating the achievements of the Dipsites. The highlights of the programme included ‘Yugantar’ by the tiny tots delineating the change from mythological to the modern era, a dance drama Karn, English play Aladdin and ‘The Sound of Spirit, a mellifluous rendition by the school choir.
