Prodigious Phenom- Award Ceremony at DPS BHOPAL

Appreciation and rewarding is an excellent way to celebrate the hard work and success of students and to further motivate progression in them. The effervescence of ebullience and revelry warmed the morning of 5th November2022 as the adorned premise of Delhi Public School hosted Annual Award Ceremony,’ Prodigious Phenom’ for session 2019-20 to acknowledge the crème da la crème performance of its adroit students. The Chief Guest of the Ceremony was Shri Avinash Lavania (IAS) Collector and District Magistrate, Bhopal. Dr Sunil Malik, Neurologist and Dr. Monika Malik, Member, M.P. State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission graced the ceremony as Guests of Honour.

The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries followed by welcome address by the Principal Mrs.Vinita Malik.

 Amidst the thunderous applause and encomium, the prodigies were felicitated with a slew of awards from Academic Scholarship to prestigious awards. In his address, the Chief Guest congratulated the awardees and  praised the learning atmosphere of school which has groomed the students with ample opportunities of exploration and growth to follow their dreams. The prestigious ceremony was graced by Shri Hari Mohan Gupta ji, Chairman JSWS, Pro Vice Chairman—DPS Bhopal, Indore & Kolar Road Bhopal, Mr Abhishek Mohan Gupta, Member, Managing Committee DPS Bhopal -Indore –Kolar Road & Rau, Mr. Nitin Ambaselkar, Treasurer, Jagran Social Welfare Society, Bhopal & Chief Accounts Officer, Delhi Public School Bhopal-Indore-Kolar Road-Rau and many other dignitaries.

Dean GSK, Mrs Megha Muktibodh, Vice Principals, Dr.Yogesh  Padegaonkar and Dr. Mukta Sharma and Head Mistress, Mrs. Sheeba Rajesh congratulated the awardees and lauded their unremitting dedication.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Sunil Malik  inspired the young achievers to tread the path of truth and hardwork to have a meaningful life, to respect women and teachers and emulate the principles of Gandhiji.

Virtual Tour to  Rani Kamlapati  Railway Station

One’s destination is never a place, but a way of seeing things.

We all know trips and tours are important for interactive and new learning, social interaction and exposure .
So , to  enhance knowledge while comfortably sitting at home,Delhi Public School,Bhopal  organized a virtual trip to the New Hi-Tech Rani Kamlapati Railway Station for the students of classes VI to VIII.

 

French Collage and Poster Making Competition

French Collage and Poster Making Competition ” le Photomontage” was organized for the students of class 7th on Wednesday, 19th January 2022.
 
Children actively participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. 
The students  showcased their inner artist by making collages and posters on the theme “Water Conservation”.

Literary Fest at DPS Bhopal

Delhi Public School Bhopal hosted its first Shri Gurudev Gupta Memorial Literary Fest, ‘Festival De Literatura’ on 14th January 2022, showcasing a plethora of literary events that ignited the literary passion among students.

A panel of eminent judges judged activities like role play, poetry recitation, story writing, twist a tale, poetry enactment, debate and dramatic monologue in which students from various schools from Bhopal and outside participated. Delhi Public School Kolar Road Bhopal emerged as the winner and Delhi Public School Bhopal was the runner up.

Virtual Investiture Ceremony at DPS Bhopal

The first virtual Investiture Ceremony was conducted at Delhi Public School Bhopal to install the newly appointed Student Council 2020-21. The Chief Guest for this exquisite ceremony Ms. Rashmi Shami, Principal Secretary of School Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh was accorded a warm welcome by Principal Mrs Vinita Malik. The ceremony which began with invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati saw the council comprising of President Vansh Uppal, Secretary Swastika Ganguly, Head Boy Umair Hussain Khan, Head Girl Stuti Jain and others being installed. Shri Hari Mohan Gupta, Pro Vice Chairman DPS Bhopal- Indore- Kolar Road- Rau blessed the children with his motivational musings. The Vice Principal Dr. Yogesh Padegaonkar, Headmistress Dr. Mukta Sharma and Dean Shiksha Kendra were also present on the occasion.

 


Exemplary Class X Board Results for GSK

Extraordinary dedication, will to succeed and perseverance steered the students of class X of Gurudev Shiksha Kendra to excel in the Board Examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh State Board the results of which were announced today. 13 students of GSK appeared in the exam and proved their mettle with an amazing 100 percent result. Pawan Salve topped the school with 95.67% followed by Aditya Ingle and Prabhat Singh Mewada with 94% and 87.33% respectively. Mrs. Vinita Malik, Principal DPS Bhopal and Mrs. Megha Muktibodh , Principal GSK applauded the sincerity, hard work and determination of the students and the cooperation of their parents and congratulated them on this huge success.

Republic Day at DPS Bhopal

DPS Bhopal celebrated the 71st Republic Day of the nation. The Tricolour was unfurled by Shri Harimohan Guptaji, Pro Vice Chairman, DPS Bhopal-Indore-Kolar Road-Rau. The other dignitary present was Mr. Faizal Meer, Director Operations, Jagran Social Welfare Society, Bhopal. In her address, the Principal Mrs. Vinita Malik urged the students to grow up to be responsible citizens of the country. The Principal’s address was followed by a short cultural programme, imbued with patriotic fervor. The patriotic spirit was enhanced when Aryaman Mohan Gupta of Class I A gave the iconic speech ‘Tryst with Destiny’ of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. An enlightening assembly by the students of classes lV E and F and an Instrumental Competition mesmerised the audience. The students of Gurudev Shiksha Kendra presented a wonderful dance performance. 130 Dipsites also participated in a dance competition in the Republic Day celebration organized by MP Government in the Lal Parade Ground.


DPS Bids Farewell to Class-XII

To bid adieu to the outgoing batch of Class 12th (2019-20) a farewell was organized by Class-XI on 5th January 2020 at Delhi Public School Bhopal.
A grand cultural show was put up by the students of Class 11 which included vibrant dance performances and exhilarating band performances which were dedicated to their seniors. Dr. Yogesh Padegaonkar Vice Principal DPS Bhopal, in his address spoke with nostalgia about his association with the students and wished them a bright future. The chief attraction of the evening was the ramp walk for the most coveted titles of the show- Mr. Eve and Ms. Eve, which was adjudged by a panel of judges that included Mr Akshat Sethi, Professional Pilot, Ms Nandita Nair, Lifeskill Coach and Dr Venus Tarakaswar, playback singer and composer. In the quest of a perfect combination of beauty, style and brain, Aniket Nigojkar and Anushka Pannu were chosen as Mr. Eve and Ms. Eve 2019-20. Apart from these Shivek Jhanda and Aakriti Jain were selected as Mr. DPS and Miss DPS 2019-20, Vatsal Nadkarni(Mr. PCM), Mrigen Karn ( Mr. PCB), Yashika Manghnani (Ms. Commerce), Akshta Telang (Ms. Humanities). Vanshika Agrawal, Aishwarya Patwa, Tejasva Marwaha and Kaustubh Modi were the Ideal Students and Jaithra K, Shruti Kaushal, Harshita Gurbani, Prachi Khare, Avi Sawhney, Tejas Sajeev, Apaar Mehra and Sanidhya Das bagged the awards for being Teachers’ Delight. Cicil Jestin bagged the award for the best Hosteller.


Annual Award Function at DPS Bhopal

Delhi Public School Bhopal honoured the meritorious students of the school at the Annual Award Function on 18th December, 2019. DPS Bhopal wins DPS Football Tournament

The 3 day DPS Football Tournament concluded at Delhi Public School, Bhopal on 8th November, 2019. Delhi Public School, Neelbad Bhopal emerged as the winner in a nail biting final match defeating DPS Navi Mumbai 1-0. Dr D.R. Saini, Director DPS Society graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and witnessed the Semi Final and Final matches. The first Semi Final was played between Delhi Public School Navi Mumbai & Jaipur and the second between Delhi Public School, Bhopal and Bangalore South. DPS Jaipur bagged the Third position.

In a glittering Valedictory Ceremony Mrs. Vinita Malik, Principal DPS Bhopal, welcomed the dignitaries, congratulated the winners and teams and urged them to apply the newly imbibed virtues in life as well. The school choir and the dancers enthralled the audience with their vibrant performances. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony. The Chief Guest felicitated the players for their marvelous performance. DPS Bhopal Hosts DPS Football Tournament

The opening ceremony of the Inter DPS Football Tournament was held with great fanfare and exuberance at DPS, Bhopal on 6th November 2019 in which 16 teams of Delhi Public Schools are participating.

The mega event began with the ‘Lighting of the Lamp’ by the Chief Guest and the distinguished guests. The Principal, Mrs. Vinita Malik extended a warm welcome to the guests and participating teams and enumerated the importance of sports and sportsmanship in the life of a student.

The Chief Guest raised the League Flag which was followed by an informal march past of the participating teams. The captain of team DPS Bhopal, Akshat Dubey took the ceremonial oath which was followed by an inspiring speech by the Chief Guest who released the balloons and declared the meet open. To add colour and fervor to the occasion a dance was presented by the young Dipsites.

DPS BHOPAL RANKED 2 IN BHOPAL

The Dream School of Madhya Pradesh, Delhi Public School Bhopal has once again created a benchmark for itself. DPS Bhopal has been awarded Rank 2 in Bhopal by Education World India School Rankings 2019-20, in the Day Cum Boarding Schools category. The organisation had also ranked DPS Bhopal as one of the 4 best schools in the state. Investiture Ceremony at DPS Bhopal

The newly constituted student council of Delhi Public School Bhopal was sworn in on Wednesday 17th July 2019 in a formal ceremony. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Yogesh Deshmukh IGP, Bhopal Zone. The students presented an enthralling dance performance on Leaders which was followed by a beautiful rendition by the school choir congratulating the newly installed student council.

The ceremony concluded with the acceptance speech by the Head Boy & Head Girl. The vote of thanks was proposed by President Utsav Sarang.


The Scintillating Success Story of DPS Bhopal…

Delhi Public School Bhopal was bestowed with the prestigious ‘School of the Year’ award on 27th February 2019 by the Federation of Madhya Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries in their 5th Edition of Outstanding Achievement Award. DPS wins Gurudev Gupta Inter School English Debate

The 16th Shri Gurudev Gupta Inter School English Debate Competition was organized by DPS Bhopal on 14th January 2019, to commemorate Founder’s Day in which 11 eminent schools of Bhopal participated.

Delhi Public School, Neelbad, Bhopal bagged the WINNER’S TROPHY and Billabong High the RUNNERS UP TROPHY. The prestigious awards for Best Speaker For and Against the motion were bagged by Harris Ahmed and Naeel Ahmed from Delhi Public School, Neelbad respectively. The award for the Best Interjector was bagged by Sara Siddiqui from Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar. The awards for the second Best Speaker For and Against the motion were bagged by Ishika Chauhan of Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar and Afra Khan of St.Joseph’s Co.Ed School respectively. A Cash award of Rs. 2500/- was given to Best Speakers and Rs. 1500/- to Second Best Speakers and Rs. 1000/- to the Best Interjector.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp of learning which was followed by a welcome song by the school choir. A small skit was also presented by the students of Shiksha Kendra on Mahatma Gandhi, titled ‘Mohan se Mahatma’. The event was attended by Mr. Rahul Singh, member of DPS Society as the Chief Guest, Mrs. Vinita Malik, Principal DPS Bhopal, Dr. Yogesh Padegaonkar, Vice Principal, DPS Bhopal, Dr. Meenal Tiwari and Mrs. Mukta Sharma, Headmistresses, DPS Bhopal and escort teachers of various schools. The topic “Technology is responsible for depleting Moral Values” received a diverse opinion in the battle of words where the participants argued to outwit each other. The panel of Judges comprised of Dr. Pragya Rawat, Dr. Vinita Dhondiyal Bhatnagar and Mrs Snigdha E Samuel;

Mrs. Vinita Malik, congratulated the participating schools for their support and said that good speaking skills are extremely essential to excel in all professions. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Vartika Jain, Student Editor.


9th Annual Sports Meet

‘SPORTS’ the 9th Annual Sports Meet of Delhi Public School Bhopal was held on 21st December 2018 with great enthusiasm and fanfare. The Chief Guest for the event was Ms. Seema Punia Indian Discus Thrower, Olympian, Asian and Commonwealth Games medalist. The Guest of Honour was Dr S. L. Thausen, IPS, Director, Sports and Youth Welfare Madhya Pradesh. The other dignitaries included Shri Hari Mohan Gupta, Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity Unversity, Bhopal, Pro Vice Chairman, DPS Bhopal-Indore-Kolar Road; Smt. This was followed by ‘Trotting Saddlers’, a spectacular horse show. The brilliant show by the equestrians of DPS Bhopal was followed by the Chief Guest`s inspection of the parade. It was a thrilling sight for the spectators as the proud Dipsites of the four houses marched to the beats of the school band. After the Meet was declared open, the Meet Flag was raised followed by the ceremonial Oath Taking by Sports Captain Daksh Shrivastava. The proud national players representing various games ran with blazing torch and finally the Sports Torch was lit by the girl Sports Captain Jahanvi Shrivastava. The dignitaries then released the balloons as the symbol of the ascent of DPS Bhopal. The Principal Mrs. Vinita Malik welcomed the gathering and read the Annual Report enumerating the commendable achievements of the Dipsites.

24 students were felicitated for their outstanding achievements in sports including Vikram awardee Pranay Khare and Eklavya awardee Jahanvi Shrivastava. Various athletic events were conducted for students of Classes III to XI and the students of Gurudev Shiksha Kendra exhibiting the attributes inculcated through sports. The races and Tug of War competition raised the zeal and spirit of the audience. The Chief Guest, in her address congratulated the students and faculty of DPS Bhopal for putting up a grand show. The Pro Vice Chairman Shri Hari Mohan Guptaji advised the students to embibe true sportsmanship, perseverance and team spirit. The Guest of Honour exhorted the students to play with dedication and honesty to achieve success in their lives. The grand event culminated after the meet was declared closed and with President of the school, Anchita Khanna proposing the vote of thanks.

Annual Award Ceremony 2017-18

Delhi Public School Bhopal honoured the meritorious students of the school at the Annual Award Function on 6th October, 2018. The Dipsites were adorned with awards for excellence in academics, sports, music and dance and art for the session 2017-18 in a glittering ceremony in the presence of distinguished guests. The Chief Guest for the event was Mrs. Pragya Richa Shrivastava, IPS, Additional DGP, AJK, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Abhishek Mohan Gupta, Pro Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, Mr. Nitin Ambaselkar, CAO DPS Bhopal- Indore-Kolar Road, Mrs. Vinita Malik, Principal, DPS Bhopal, Vice Principal Dr.Yogesh Padegaonkar and the Headmistresses were also present to encourage the students. The Principal, Mrs. Vinita Malik congratulated the students upon their success. The atmosphere echoed with thundering applause as the young achievers received their awards.The Chief Guest in her speech congratulated the children for their performance and urged them to retain the winning spirit and unflinching zeal throughout their lives.

Meeting Esteemed Principals Bhopal Sahodaya Complex

Delhi Public School, Bhopal hosted the meet of esteemed Principals who were members of Bhopal Sahodaya Complex. Principals of nearly 50 schools of Bhopal and nearby places endorsed their participation in the meeting, sharing their concerns about educational policies and practices. The meeting was chaired by President, Bhopal Sahodaya Complex, Father Athanas Lakra, Principal, Campion School. Vice President, Mr. P.K.Pathak, Principal, Raj Global Heights, Secretary, Mr. Sojan Joseph, Principal, Father Agnel H.S.School and Treasurer, Sr. Mary, Principal, St.Mary School shared the Dias. The delegates discussed several glaring issues pertaining to curriculum, pedagogical changes and innovations by CBSE. The meeting initiated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp after which Mrs. Vinita Malik, Principal, host school extended a formal welcome to the audience and expressed her gratitude for being chosen to host the event. Mr. Nitin Ambaselkar, CAO DPS Bhopal, Indore and Kolar Road, Treasurer, JSWS also graced the event with his encouraging presence. It was an insightful and informative evening.


Investiture Ceremony

Investiture Ceremony of the newly constituted student council of Delhi Public School Bhopal was held on 3rd August 2018. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Sushovan Banerje, Additional Director General of Police, Bhopal. The Principal Mrs. Vinita Malik extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests present on the occasion which included ShriHari Mohan Gupta, Pro Vice Chairman, DPS Bhopal-Indore-Kolar Road,Mr. VishwasSarang, Minister of State with independent charge (Cooperation, Rural Development and Panchayat, Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation, Government of Madhya Pradesh) and Mr. Abhishek Mohan Gupta, Joint Secretary, Jagran Social Welfare Society, Bhopal, Pro Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University Bhopal. The student council for the session 2018-19 comprising of 91 members was sworn in by the Chief Guest in a formal ceremony. CYNC – Inter School Technology Symposium at DPS Bhopal

CYNC, an Inter School Technology Symposium was conducted at Delhi Public School, Neelbad Bhopal, on 21st July, 2018 with great enthusiasm and zeal.

The Symposium was conducted by Cypher, the Computer Club of DPS Bhopal under the aegis of the Department of Computer Science. There were several creative and innovative events comprising of programming, photography & digital music in which 14 prominent schools from the city participated. The event was one of its kinds which imparted a unique learning experience to the participants and enhanced their technical skills.

The programme started with the traditional lighting of the lamp after which the Vice Principal Dr. Yogesh Padegaonkar addressed the gathering. Principal Mrs Vinita Malik and Headmistress Mrs. Mukta Sharma motivated the students with their presence. The students participated exuberantly in all the events like Crypt Cross, Click, Cynth, and Respawn. Principal Mrs Vinita Malik congratulated the students for their overwhelming success and motivated them for similar endeavours.

Inter House English Debate Competition

An Inter House English Debate Competition was held for the students of Class 8, at DPS Bhopal. The topic was “Hard work is more important than talent”. The speakers were very eloquent and confident. The judges for the competition were Mrs Nandita Nair and Mrs Renu Bisht. The judges and the audience enjoyed the war of words. Harris Ahmed was adjudged the Best Speaker For the motion and Piya Chawlani was adjudged the Best Speaker Against the motion.The second best speaker For the motion was Alenjna Yadav and the second best speaker Against the motion was Aditi Lahre, best Interjector was Vishesh Singhal.

International Yoga Day at Lal Parade Ground

More than 300 excited Dipsites from Class 9 assembled at Lal Parade Ground in the wee hours of the morning along with hundreds of other yoga enthusiasts from different walks of life to celebrate the International Yoga Day. The Chief Minister of the state, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan enthused the participants with his benign presence and speech on the benefits of yoga.
In crisp white tees, the students presented a spectacular sight. The children performed various asanas and chanted OM.

The Head Master Dr Yogesh Padegaonkar and the Academic Coordinator Ms Nidhi Lal accompanied the students and encouraged them.
More than 100 students of Gurudev Shiksha Kendra from Classes 8 to 11 also joined in the celebrations.
Principal, Gurudev Shiksha Kendra, Mrs Megha Muktibodh cheered the children.


Awareness Programme on Fire Safety at DPS Bhopal

A special assembly to make the students aware of the importance of safety from fire was conducted for the students of classes 9 to 12 on 18th April, 2018. The session on fire safety was conducted by the department of fire safety as part of National Fire Service Week being celebrated from 14th to 20th April, 2018. The theme for the same is ‘Fire loss is a National Loss’.
A team of fire fighters headed by Inspector Vikram Singh was welcomed by Headmaster, Dr. Yogesh Padegaonkar & Academic Coordinator Ms. Nidhi Lal. The Headmaster further enumerated the importance of fire safety awareness in his welcome address.
Inspector Vikram Singh and his team made the students and teachers aware of how Fire safety information saves lives and demonstrated how safety equipment can be used.

The team also conducted a mock drill to combat kitchen fire. The session was very informative and enlightened the students and teachers towards fire safety.

National Talent Search Examination

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national level scholarship programme as well as one of the most prestigious examinations of India at the Secondary School Level to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent. It is held every year and aims at screening the most gifted students who have a special aptitude for Science, Mathematics, Social Science and above all questions based on analytical reasoning.
