Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2023-24

The prodigious Dipsites Annika Agrawal XII A and Shreya Saxena VIIIB participated in National Level Camp of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2023-24* held at IISER, BHOPAL on 18th and 19th May 2024 .It was entirely a new experience and exposure for students.
With pride and elation we wish to announce that Shreya Saxena secured the 2nd Rank in West Zone of VVM State Cluster. She has received :

Excursions and educational trips provide opportunities for experiential learning and are an integral part of the curriculum. In its endeavour to focus on the holistic development of children and to make learning fun, an excursion to Chandigarh & Shimla was organized from 26th April to 30th April for class VI (2023-24). A group of 51 enthusiastic students escorted with 4 teachers Ms. Sukhprit Kaur, Ms. Asmita Parashar, Mr. Alok Dixit and Mr. Rohit Jauhri, thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

An educational trip to Chandigarh – Manali was organised to explore the pristine beauty and vibrant culture of Northern India. This excursion offered the students of class IX a unique blend of adventure, cultural immersion, learning opportunities, teamwork, and togetherness amidst breathtaking landscapes. By exploring diverse landscapes, engaging with local communities, and learning about sustainability, students gained valuable insights that broadened their perspectives and inspired a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

An excursion to Chandigarh- Shimla (Class VII)

An excursion to Chandigarh- Shimla was organized from 24 April to 28 April to provide students with a refreshing break after the annual examination.

A group of 31 students from Class VII of session 2023-2024 were escorted by two teachers and tour operators. The students enjoyed the visit to Le Corbusier Centre, Museum & Art Gallery, the International Doll Museum further exploring the fascinating Rock Garden, featuring sculptures made from recycled materials,
Sukhna Lake and indulge in some shopping at Elante Mall in Chandigarh.

They embarked on a trip to Kufri for panoramic views amidst layers of mountains , leisurely strolled along Mall Road followed by the visit to Advanced Institute of Study, Himalayan bird Park and Military Museum.

The excursion aimed at providing an opportunity for the students to bond with each other, strengthening interpersonal relationships, and fostering a sense of camaraderie.

Exploration at Bharat Bhavan

Around 38 students from Classes VI-VIII of Delhi Public School Bhopal embarked on a creative journey at Bharat Bhavan, drawing inspiration from legendary artworks and renowned artists. Escorted by Mr. KR Jha, Mrs. Uzma Bakht, and Mrs. Namrata Sharma, the students explored the multi-art center, immersing themselves in the intricate steps of clay making, pottery, and the firing process. This hands-on experience aimed to foster an interactive connection between verbal, visual, and performing arts, providing a rich source of inspiration for the budding artists.

MUN Speed Debate: Global Quick Talks

“A symphony of Swift Deliberations, a Whirlwind of Ideas and a Race against Time”!
DPS Bhopal’s Model United Nations (MUN) Club (Class VIII) wrapped up the 2023-24 sessions with the spectacular “MUN Speed Debate: Global Quick Talks”. The event was a celebration of the students’ talents, intellectual fervor, and critical thinking.
The Best Speaker Award was jointly shared by Aditi Matta (8D), Aishani Singh (8D) and Varalika Singh (8J)
The Team Positions are as follows:
Team ‘Peace Ambassadors’ emerged victoriously as the Best Team.

The event was judged by Senior Humanities Faculty, Mr. Mohit Shrotriya. The Coordinators, Ms. Gurvinder Kaur Romana and Mrs. Tehmeena Kamal Yezdani ensured its seamless execution.
 
The students’ eloquence, dedication, and critical thinking were on full display during the event, reaffirming their potential as future global leaders. congratulations to the winners and participants!

Visiting the "Eternal Creativity Centre"

It was a mesmerizing day for all the students of “the Environment Club”, DPS, Neelbad, Bhopal, visiting the *Eternal Creativity Centre*, a center which has been making creative pieces of art from the waste we dispose off.

Students were shown all the products made to date and also were made aware of how better we can handle the waste with just a little support from each individual!
Students had hands-on experience in making Bottle Lamps, Keyboard Pen holders, and Pen from Magazine Paper. Students were very enthusiastic about having more such workshops in the future for a wonderful learning experience!

DAY – 2 of The DPS GOLD MUN 1.0

The morning of 14th October,2023 had the effervescence of exuberance and gaiety as the Delegates were animatedly engaged in dynamic discussions on their respective agenda in an array of sessions, with numerous committees proving to be a hub of intellectual exchange and collaborative problem-solving.

The eloquent speakers articulated their points and debated on topics like – Right to Education, Legalization of Abortion, Political Empowerment of Women etc.. with exceptional research work. The Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha Sessions were exploding with heated arguments in the following sessions.

An informative segment christened – ‘Visionary Voices’ was conducted for the teacher attendees in which two talented Dipsites, Atharv Bishnoi and Mishika Sahani shared their personal journeys as pupils serving as an illuminating inspiration for the pedagogues.

Vice Principal, Dr. Yogesh Padegaonkar, delivered an enlightening discourse on the profound journey of self-discovery, inviting the audience to delve into the intricacies of self- actualisation.

With the setting of the Sun, the atmosphere at DPS Bhopal was electrifying during the Socials featuring therenowned DJ Sheryl who made the attendees groove to the rhythmic ecstasy with her euphonic beats. It was indeed a fruitful day to see the MUN Secretariat and teachers working with full commitment and passion towards making the event a grand success.

Opening Ceremony of The DPS GOLD MUN 1.0

Delhi Public School Bhopal is organising its indigenous DPS GOLD Model United Nations Conference’ 1.0 from 13-15 October 2023 in its thriving Campus to facilitate an intellectually stimulating environment to the Dipsites to unlock their leadership potential, to be the change makers of tomorrow through fruitful discussions, debates and negotiations.

The prestigious event commenced with an opulent Opening Ceremony in the glorious afternoon of 13 October, 2023 at the iconic HMG Sports Centre in the revered presence of the Chief Guest, Mr Rajesh Mishra(IPS) SP, Economic Offence Wing (EOW), Government of Madhya Pradesh. After the welcome speech by the Principal, Mrs Vinita Malik, the Secretary General of MUN, Riddhima Sharma while enumerating the role and objectives of MUN, introduced the Executive Board.

The Chief Guest’s wisdomful pearls underscored discipline and will power as the bedrock of a successful life. The glittering ceremony was adorned by a melange of cultural pearls- the sonorous serenading by the choir, spectacular dance and guitar performances followed by a Pep Talk by the Keynote Speaker, an alumnus of DPS Bhopal, Mr Harshit Godha on Entrepreneurial Sustainable Farming and Ted Talks by our prolific Dipsites, Prakamya Siddh Balot and Divyanshi Sharma.The moment of extreme exhilaration was the unveiling of the DPS GOLD MUN LOGO followed by the introduction of the Secretariat. The crowning glory of the gala event was the spectacular Procession of the Secretariat, symbolising the unified dedication, team spirit and the collective commitment to surmount challenges to initiate a transformative global journey accentuated with bedazzling fireworks, kindling hope of a new beginning and a better tomorrow.
