Art is an essential element of education. It is a powerful way to sensitize students towards critical issues while invoking their creativity.

Regional Science Centre Bhopal organised a painting competition on 19th April 2024 on the theme SWACHH BHARAT, SAMRIDH BHARAT. A total of 300 students participated under different categories at RSCB (Ministry of culture, Government of India) and two of our students bagged special prize-

* Araina Dwivedi of class 3 A (group 1) Special 1
* Yashil Dharamdasani of class VI J (Group 2) Special 2

Dynamic Lippan Art Workshop

“Learning is a continuous journey of experimentation & exploration.”
In a bid to foster creativity and innovation amongst the teachers, the Department of Art and Craft of DPS Bhopal, organized a dynamic Lippan Art Workshop on 27th & 28th March 2024.The workshop aimed to equip teachers with the skills and techniques of Lippan art, a traditional form of mural and relief work from Gujarat, India. This unique initiative not only offered a platform for artistic exploration but also emphasized the importance of integrating diverse art forms into the educational curriculum.

The Lippan Art Workshop proved to be a resounding success, empowering teachers to embrace their artistic potential and infuse creativity into their teaching practices.

Indigenous Toy Making Competition

Exhibiting her creative skills at every level of the competition, Team DPS proudly applauds and acclaims its dexterous artist,Vidhi Agarwal of IX D who secured First position at the State level of Kala Utsav 2023 in the category of Indigenous Toy Making Competition and has qualified for the National level.

It is a matter of great pride to share the achievement of our young Dipsite, Araina Dwivedi of Grade -2A who brought laurels to the school by winning a National Award for her painting in a painting competition organized by the Government of India. The theme of the competition was Indian Flag and we were really happy to see how she incorporated our whole nation’s success in her painting. Well done and Congratulations Araina ! You made us proud.

Sparks of Creativity

It is a matter of great pride that Atreya Kulkarni of grade 4G has got a story cum colouring book published.The name of the book is:Sharada’s trip to the ZOO (Evincepub Publishing).
This book is an early reader and coloring activity book for children. It describes a day at the zoo by a young girl Sharada and the wonderful animals that she saw at the zoo.

Medha Gupta class XI F bagged the First Position and Araina Dwivedi class I A bagged the Consolation prize.
