The 10th edition of the Bhopal Shakespeare Festival, aptly named ‘ Shakespowerana’ saw a captivating celebration of the Bard’s 460th birth anniversary , with a theme centered on ‘ Power and Politics.’ This illustrious event, orchestrated by Club Literati, unfolded from April 21st to 26th, 2024, featuring a vibrant mix of online and offline activities, including spirited competitions, thought-provoking panel discussions, and theatrical performances. Krittin Kumar Dhanna XI A secured the First Position in ‘Pixel Powerplay’s Visual Narratives’, showcasing his remarkable creativity, while Chaitanya Ghosh, XII I and Pavni Parashar XII I triumphed in the ‘Will Power Online Quiz Competition’, seizing the First Position and Third Position respectively

Unicef India Youth Content Creators Program

It is with profound elation and pride, Team DPS shares an avante-garde achievement of our talented student, Kaushiki Sharma, of Class XI I. Kaushiki has been selected as one of the 23 individuals from across the nation to participate in the UNICEF India Youth Content Creators Program.

The UNICEF India Youth Content Creators Program is a highly prestigious initiative, and Kaushiki will have the honour of working closely with UNICEF India for a year, from November 2023 to November 2024. During this period, she will contribute to UNICEF’s mission of promoting child rights, education, healthcare, and overall well-being, with a particular focus on social media content creation. Kaushiki’s selection for this program is a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication.

Kashish Bakshi of Batch 2015-16 secured 54 Rank, Arnav Bhandari of Batch 2014-15 secured 232 Rank and Ishan Bhatnagar of Batch 2017-18 secured 276 Rank in this prestigious examination.

G20 THINQ, an exciting quiz competition

“Quizzing is the convergence of curiosity and intelligence.”

The Indian Navy has announced, their flagship event, THINQ, a unique National level Quiz Competition. G20 THINQ, an exciting quiz competition that aims at providing the brightest, young minds, the future leaders of our country an opportunity to experience the Indian Navy.
Team DPS proudly announces that two of our dipsites, Chaitanya Ghosh XI I and Navya Singh XII I after crossing the hurdles of three very difficult virtual rounds, competing with teams from all over India, consolidated their position as the finalist amongst the top 8 teams.

They not only received Samsung galaxy tab and Rs 15000/- from SBI, but were privileged to be a part of the 10 days educational trip organised by the Indian Navy Mumbai from 15Nov -25 Nov 2023.They visited various places at Mumbai and Delhi and got a rare opportunity to attend the Navy Mess Night hosted by the Chief of Naval staff (CNS) Admiral Radhakrishnan Hari Kumar PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC who is a serving flag officer in the Indian Navy.

It is with immense pride and elation, we wish to share that our incredible debater *Divyanshi Sharma of class X A* was adjudged as the *First Runner Up* in Finals of the Senior category of the Turncoat Competition and *Kaushiki Sharma (XI I)* could also make it to the Semi-finals of the Senior Category of Dramatic Adaptation Competition, organised by the *Mumbai Speech and Debating League at the illustrious campus of IIT, Bombay on 1st July, 2023.*
It was a nip and tuck affair with a thumping presence of *1500 + competitors from across the country*.

Inter School Youth Parliament Competition

‘Persuasion, confirmation, refutation and conclusion are the core skills of a good debating team’.
It is a moment of extreme exaltation for us to announce that DPS Bhopal, has bagged the THIRD position in ‘Inter School Youth Parliament Competition’ organised by Pt. Kunji Lal Dubey, Department of Parliamentary Affairs under the government of MP.
Thirty students from classes IX and XI (session 22-23) participated in it. The following students have been adjudged as the ‘ Best Speakers’

Inter-School Hindi Debate Competition

Our outstanding debaters, Prakash Singh XII I and Kaushiki Sharma XI I secured the Second Position For and Against the motion respectively, in the Inter School Hindi Debate Competition organised by Pandit Kunjilal Dubey Sansadiya Vidyapeeth and received a cash prize of Rs 7500/- each.

Diplomathon

Dipsites earned well-deserved awards and recognition at Diplomathon, which was held at Billabong High International School, Bhopal on 14th and 15th October 2023.
  • Dhruv Mallick of X I secured a High Commendation
  • Kohana Khilrani of X G and Shilyn Shekhar of IX I received an Honorable Mention.
  • Pakhi Kumhare of VI C, Pravee Sharma of IX J, Abhiveer Pathak of IX J were acknowledged for a Verbal Mention.

MP Tourism Quiz- 2023

“Talent wins games but team work and intelligence wins championship.”
It is with extreme pride and elation we wish to share that a team of three ingenious quizzers of DPS Bhopal comprising of Nitya Berdia -X-E, Chaitanya Ghosh- XI- I and Prakamya Siddh Balot- XI-A were the Second Runners Up of the MP Tourism Quiz- 2023 organised by the MP Tourism Board on 27 July 2023 at Campion School Bhopal. The competition had Elimination Written Round and Multimedia Quiz Round and Dipsites proved their mettle while competing among 384 schools and received a Trophy, Gold Medal and Certificate of merit along with a Gift voucher for free 3 D,2 N stay at any place under MP Tourism. Team DPS extends hearty congratulations to the winners and their mentor Ms. Reshu Sinha for her tireless efforts in preparing the students.

Cryptic Crossword Contest C 11.0

With sheer determination, dedication, and an unwavering passion for the competition, *Aadie Srivastava and Chaitanya Ghosh from Class XI I participated in the Cryptic Crossword Contest C 11.0* and their efforts have yielded magnificent results. In the 2nd Round of the Competition, they *emerged as State Winners*, showcasing their exceptional puzzle-solving skills.
Out of a staggering *262 teams* that vied for the top spots on the national level, Aadie and Chaitanya’s incredible performance secured them a *splendid 9th National Rank*. Such an achievement is a testament to their brilliance and hard work.
Furthermore, their impressive standing on the *National Leaderboard has earned them a spot in the highly prestigious Stage II of the competition*. This recognition places them among the *top 20 teams* nationwide, an extraordinary feat in itself.
We commend Aadie Srivastava and Chaitanya Ghosh for their outstanding achievements and exemplary performance. It is their perseverance, passion, and commitment that have set them apart, making us all incredibly proud.

ST. Montfort Debate Competition

An Interschool English Debate competition was organised by St. Montfort School Bhopal on the topic ” Artificial Intelligence is a Challenge to Conventional Teaching methods”. Student from 16 prestigious schools of the city participated in the event. With immense pleasure we would like to share that Aadie Srivastava XI I was adjudged as the ‘Best Speaker Against the Motion’ and Granth Bangard XI A won the ‘Second Position FOR the Motion’.

G-Literatti 2023

The prestigious Daly College Indore organised an enthralling literary extravaganza, G-Literatti 2023, in collaboration with “Shabdavalli” Valley of Words and AFS India. A total of 25 esteemed educational institutions participated, creating an intellectual milieu that left an indelible mark. Esteemed authors including Nikhil Gulati, Sutapa Basu, Lubaina Bandukwala, Mandira Shah, and Vikas Prakash Joshi graced the event, illuminating the occasion with their literary insights and contemplations on the intricacies of the written word.
Delving into their literary realms, the authors elucidated their works and stimulated spirited discussions. The students of Delhi Public School Bhopal garnered admiration for their captivating enactment of characters through duologue and a poster presentation inspired by Nikhil Gulati’s ‘The People of the Indus.’

Shakespeareana 2023

Club Literati celebrated Shakespeare’s Fest, ‘Shakespeareana 2023′ to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of William Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon from 20th- 28th April 2023. Students from classes VIII- XII marked their exuberant participation and earned prizes and accolades in an array of competitions in the prestigious Lit Fest.

Cbse Story Telling Competition

Delhi Public School Bhopal believes in Holistic learning of students that allows them to develop strong internal values and confidence because their whole being is considered during the learning process. In this context the young dipsite Shreya Saxena of Class – VII was awarded by “Certificate of Merit” at the Regional level, by “The Central Board of Secondary Education” for her outstanding performance in the CBSE STORY TELLING COMPETITION 2021-22. The theme of the competition was “The Story of India _ meri kahani meri zubani.
